Classifications of Organic Reactions
Organic Reactions have been broadly classified into two types on the basis of bond cleavage,

  1. free radical reaction (hemolytic cleavage)
  2. ionic reactions (heterolysis cleavage)

On the basis of the products of the reactions; organic reactions are classified as,

  1. Addition Reactions

  2. Substitution Reactions

  3. Elimination Reactions

  4. Rearrangement
